It sounds like something that would be in a cutsey lofi game. Reminds me of the soundtrack for Wobbledogs, the game music sounds kinda like this. Keep on experimenting and making cool stuff, you've earned yourself a fan!

Your exactly right on the lofi front! Another thing I forgot to mention in the author comments, was that I thought the bass instrument sounded a lot like the motion of a dog running / bounding. I thought that was a quite cute detail!

Edit: Metroid is a video game where you play as a hero who fights off aliens on strange planets. Metroid is known for having very atmospheric and strange soundtracks for certain areas.
